My initial doubt with doing this program when I first started, was the thought of having to commit to something. I've liked having a source to keep me accountable. As a former college athlete I've been so frustrated with allowing myself to become so sedentary and lazy. Even having a BA in the (exercise) field, it's been a learning experience with the restorative exercise, meditating, and allowing myself down time to calm my stressors. Having someone else reiterate that this IS NECESSARY, has been vital. My perception has changed in that there's even more things that can be done to reverse PCOS, and they are fun, relaxing, and enlightening. That really, most of the life changes we've done (in the program), would be beneficial to individuals who don't even have PCOS. My face seems to have gotten clearer. I feel tons better, and have gotten compliments on looking smaller. One of the coolest compliments I received this week, was from one of my really good friends; he asked if I was wearing makeup - I never wear makeup. I told him no, I wasn't, and he replied that my "face is looking really good!" The biggest benefits so far in this process has been the sobriety, proper hydration, actually eating, cooking, and enjoying healthy meals again; my sleep has drastically improved - falling and staying asleep through the night. I've found more motivation to do things again, and found a joy and happiness with life in general.
